And here for starters are two of my favourite hobbies rolled into one - camping in my VW van and eating el fresco!
For VW buffs, the van is a 1976 Kombi, originally belonging to the Belgian Army. We have owned it since 1986 and added the Sheldon high top, fitted a Westfalia interior from a Type 3 and had a respray.
Recent trips have included Germany, Brittany and France and in the summer of 2009 we plan to tour parts of Ireland. We belong to the VW Type 2 Owners Club (VWT2OC) and attend many events in the UK as well as travelling abroad. Just before Christmas, the odometer rolled to 000000, beginning its third time round the clock!
